Brainstorming: state of the Jedi

Hi all,

I pondered on the state of the few remaining Jedi as most of them travelled to the Nexus World. Some of them stayed behind on Coruscant and they haven't done much lately. Yes short at hands but I thought there'd be more to it. As the Jedi were in a weakened state the GA would probably take advantage of it and try to get the upper hand anyway possible. I picture the GA using the few remaining Jedi as well as the temple as a prestige project while trying to enter the library and the vaults of the temple. This would keep the remaining Jedi occupied enough to explain why there are a few left but none of them actively doing something.

Hope this makes sense and I would love to read your opinions.

My Coruscant/“Left Behind” Jedi thoughts at the moment—

1.) We know that shortly after the Metellos battle, an intense wave of energy rippled through the galaxy, causing more than half of the Jedi and Lightsiders to vanish from the known galaxy.

2.) The Coruscant Temple was effectively an epicenter for this. Without a trace, suddenly VERY few adult Jedi were left behind in it, and even some of the younglings and students vanished. It was terrifying. Almost like a Purge all over again, but with no explanation and no bodies.

3.) Not knowing what had happened, numerous of the remaining Jedi and/or students fled the Temple (Rave saw his teacher disappear in front of his eyes, and led quite a few of the younglings out to safety. They formed their own group. Other students or adult Jedi left in the initial chaos, and not all of them ever came back).

4.) In the commotion, the Left-Behind Jedi as well as all of the other service personnel of the Temple (Security, clone troops, and all of the less-powerful Sensitives or non-Sensitives who always run the day to day Jedi operations) scrambled to keep everything running.
- This left room for some of the quieter Knights, Padawans, etc to step up and take on much heavier roles and responsibilities.
- Other Jedi have left the Temple completely and are working individually… or in groups.... Like small splinter organizations, or an known number of Jedi Shadows silently running their own efforts behind the scenes?

5.) The Temple was attacked several times in the first few years while Sith/Darksiders and other organizations tried to take advantage of the Jedi’s absence. The attackers were fended off, but tons of the loyal clone troops, some Jedi, and others died. Eventually the attacks died down as the galaxy settled into a new balance. The average galactic citizen considers the Jedi more a rumor than anything else now. It’s been 20 years since most of them vanished.

6.) The remaining few Jedi: (less than 10 Knights/Masters in residence at the Temple? Less than 5?)
— They’re extremely low on resources and funds. Most of the Temple is not currently in use. We’ve considered making a few of the remaining adults aquatic, in which case they may be running the temple from one of the Water levels instead of the spire Council Room.
— There is a GA/Republic Liaison from the Chancellor, and small “helpful” Republic presence. The Jedi likely have a polite but awkward diplomatic relationship with them. In the Jedi’s continued efforts to remain separate from Republic influence, they keep politely refusing to let the GA take over the archives or anything… but the Jedi’s resources are getting slimmer by the day?
— Coruscant Temple continues to serve as a Medical and Diplomatic facility, although in a much smaller capacity than before.
— There are still non-Jedi service corps (and guardians?) who continue to reside there and assist with running it.

Does all of that sound right? Any changes or additions?
