The Mountains

Post by Rik Idannian »

Rik awoke with visions of familiar faces in unfamiliar places still hovering in his mind. A great wedge of a warship floating in space, cloaked in malevolence yet foresight as well tickled at his consciousness while loved one's lives hung in the balance. And then, like a flash, a very different ship in a very different place. It was darker. No lights, no stars. Still, the design was similar. Angular lines and rows of focused armaments. A newer design perhaps. But it was dead. Cold. Dark...And then...

From the depths of this seemingly lifeless vessel, life!

All Rik could see was darkness but then that darkness fled before the radiance of two crystal blue eyes, piercing in intensity and radiating such gravitas and will that nothing could stand in its light.

Rik opened his eyes.

His visions fled. All except the very real feeling that something old and powerful had awoken.

And it was watching him.

Rik sat in the lotus position on the top of a freezing mountain. The wind howled and whipped at his face and cloak but the man sat immovable. For his ally was the Force.

*Something has shifted* He thought.

*The piece of me that was missing isn't necessarily back, I don't remember everything. But I certainly remember what I've learned*

He smiled. Though the names and faces of those he had grown to love on Nexus might be a bit blurry their presence, lessons, and fellowship had left an indelible impression on him. Rik looked up at the sky.

*So much has changed. But is all of it for the better? Seems I may be in need of some sort of transport. Best get on that, Idannian.*

So get on it he did.
