Not a Jedi Yet...

[Svo'k Lynd]

He took a deep breath in and lowered his chin. These feelings were ones that he had not embraced in a long time. He looked down towards Adrian and put his left arm across the young boy's chest pushing him behind him. He glared at the young Sith maybe a year or two older than him. Svo'k settled his breathing and his left wrist twitched ever so slightly nearly imperceptible if you weren't paying attention, which of course this other Sith was not.

"You can say what you want about me, but leave my son out of it."

Adrian went to step forward but, Svo'k stopped him cold in his tracks and pushed him back once more, he could feel the anger and hatred in his young Son's aura. He was a better Sith than Svo'k could ever dream of being, that much was clear, what wasn't exactly clear was how Svo'k felt about that. Adrian was seven years old, soon to be eight and he was on a path that Svo'k appeared to have strayed from long ago and was now realizing it.

In this moment however, steps the young man had taken were forgotten.

"I'll say what I want about both of you. You are a pathetic weakling and so is your son, You are a disgrace to the Sith and I will cleanse the Sith name of you and your son...."

Svo'k's eyes glowed red and they narrowed on the young Sith across from him. He had sized him up from the moment he approached, with murder in his eyes. Svo'k shook his head and his aura filled with darkness as his red blade ignited.

"If you think you can kill me, be my guest..."

The young Acolyte's twin blades ignited, he held one with a reverse grip, and the other with a more traditional one. His eyes raised toward the taller foe but his father stepped in front of him once more. He huffed....

<<Daaaad....come on....>>

<<Defense only Adrian! You aren't strong enough for him....yet.>>

He grinned and his blade ignited, his yellow eyes seemed to fill with joy as he looked at his prey.

"I am going to enjoy this."

He closed the distance and lunged at Svo'k attacking low at first, turning slightly and forcing Svo'k to lean to the right to block the attack it was all part of the pla.........................................

As the attack came Svo'k grinned and allowed himself to lean to the right and that's when he struck, the knife that had been resting against his left palm visble only to Adrian was thrust deep into the right side of the other attacker puncturing his right lung. Svo'k glared at the shocked face of the fellow Sith and twisted the blade causing as much damage as he could. The other man dropped his lightsaber, which fell silent on the floor. Svo'k jerked the knife out and brought it over and with a violent stabbing motion, he plunged into the other Sith's chest.

"Enjoying it yet? you pathetic kriffing piece of shit?"

The attacker dropped to his knees and Svo'k jerked the knife out of him and dropped it on the ground. He then brought his lightsaber across and decapitated the would be threat. The young man collapsed on the floor, his head rolling one direction and his body falling the other way. He turned to Adrian and glared at him.

"I don't know what the hell they teach you at that academy, but number one for survival. DON'T KRIFFING PICK FIGHTS YOU CAN'T WIN!"

Svo'k extinguished his blade and attached his saber to his belt. He then reached out and grabbed his son by the tunic and lifted him to his eye level.

"You listen and you listen good. You would be DEAD if I wasn't here. There was no need to engage him, what he said were words nothing more. If he was your age and size, then maybe you could fight him....he was an ADULT. You would have lost and you need to get that through your kriffing little arrogant head. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME ADRIAN?!"

Adrian winced as he was lifted up to his father's level. He felt himself leaning back, he couldn't recall a time wGethen Svo'k had ever been like this to him or even in front of him. He had never seen his father kill anyone before and this just wasn't a kill, this was a vicious kill. He didn't just end the man's life, he made him suffer...he....his blue eyes gazed upon in his father in shock. He'd seen other Sith behave this way, but....not his Father...never his Father...he certainly wasn't weak like the other students said....

"....Ye....yes I understand."

Adrian felt Svo'k's grip loosen and he fell to the floor catching himself....he looked up at Svo'k and cocked his head to the side not sure what to make of the situation.

Svo'k nodded to Adrian and took a short breath.

"Good. Get on the ship now and do the checklist."

Adrian scurried off running up the ramp, once he was out of sight, Svo'k's shoulders slumped forward slightly and he let out a deep sigh. He looked down at his left hand, the blood visible even amongst the tattoos. He grimaced and shook his head. Nothing about what he had just done felt good, in fact nothing like this had felt good for a long time...he was a Sith....that much he was sure of, but he wasn't a fan of doing this kind of thing. It was just so kriffing uggh....he shook his head. He wished Kira was here or maybe even Arik...no...it needed to be Kira only another Sith could help him with this.

He just wanted to be numb. She was what he needed....that and some glitterstim, maybe some other spice and a bottle of something. He ran his hand through his hair and grabbed the back of his neck. He could still feel his eyes burning red....he scrunched his face. He swore he'd never treat his son that way...but it was warranted wasn't it?

Svo'k sighed heavily and looked over at the ship, catching the corpse of the other Sith out of the corner of his eye. They had clearly been followed and even if Adrian hadn't behaved like a brat, this man was here to kill them both, nothing was going to stop him except his own ineptitude.

Svo'k threw his shoulders back, he called the knife to his hand and wiped the blood against his black pant leg before returning it carefully to the holster hidden up his left sleeve. He then walked toward the ship and up the ramp....soon they would be home. Then Adrian would go back to the academy and he could be with Kira....
